Understand your plan before deciding
Your 30-minute SureSmile consultation includes a 3D Primescan scan, panoramic and lateral cephalometric X-rays, and a virtual smile preview where suitable. We assess your goals, teeth, gums and bite, then explain the options.
A digital preview illustrates the proposed plan; it is not a guarantee of the final result. Your dentist explains the estimated timeline, limitations and any dental care needed first.

Agree on a treatment plan
Review the proposed movements, expected wear schedule, visits and costs. Ask whether attachments, space-making procedures or further aligner sets may be needed for your case.
Fit and review your aligners
We explain how to insert, remove and care for the trays. Attend review appointments so your dentist can assess the fit and progress and adjust the plan if needed.
Wear and care for the trays
Follow your prescribed wear time. Remove aligners for meals, drinks other than water and cleaning. Brush and clean between your teeth, and clean the trays as instructed.
Keep your teeth in position
Retainers are part of ongoing care after active treatment. Follow the prescribed schedule and arrange a review if a retainer is lost, damaged or no longer fits.
Risks and expectations
Discuss comfort, limitations and maintenance
Teeth can feel tender when starting or changing aligners. Tell your dentist about persistent pain, gum irritation, a poor fit or changes that concern you rather than changing the treatment yourself.
Tooth movement can be less predictable than planned, and extra stages may be needed. Inadequate cleaning increases decay and gum problems; inconsistent wear or stopping retainers can allow teeth to move back.

Fees and payment
A written estimate for your treatment
SureSmile treatment usually ranges from around $5,500 to $9,000, depending on case complexity and treatment length. The $99 consultation is separate from the full treatment estimate.
Ask what your quote includes: aligners, review visits, any additional stages, retainers and replacement costs. Payment options may be available, subject to eligibility. Check health-fund benefits directly before proceeding.
